The Romantic Times Convention is going on this week in Pittsburgh so I decided to head down today for the Book Fair since it's only 30 minutes from my house.

I ended up buying a dozen books (all autographed!).  I got to meet Lora Leigh, Cheyenne McCray, LA Banks, Jacqueline Frank, Cris Anson (who so looks like a grandma!), Gennita Low, Lauren Dane, Jennifer Armintrout, Sally MacKenzie, Kelley Armstrong, HelenKayDimon and Kristina Cook.  I saw JR Ward but her line was crazy long!

It was amazing how many authors were there - Mary Jo Putney, Mary Balogh, Cathy Maxwell.

I should have thought to take down the books I already owned for folks to sign but I was a bit slow today! lol

I need to go and update my WL since I cracked and bought some I was wishing for.

Anyone else from the boards head down there today?

OH and regard Lora Leigh - I told her that she references a scene in Killer Secrets between Ian and Kira that supposedly took place in Hidden Agendas and that she needed to post that deleted scene PRONTO! LOL  And she said she would if I sent her a reminder email - which I will do promptly!

All the authors I was lucky enough to meet were very sweet.  I was surprised by the number of grandmotherly types that were writing erotica! lol  I just can't picture my grandma doing that.  They even had some of the cover models there - they look better on the covers I have to say.

I thought I was bad buying my dozen books but there were other folks there with SUITCASES full of books.  It was insane.

The books I bought:

LA Banks - Bad Blood (autographed)

Shifter Anthology (Angela Knight, Lora Leigh, Alyssa Day, Virginia Kantra) - Autographed by LL

Dance of the Butterfly by Cris Anson (autographed)

Thrice United by Lauren Dane (autographed)

Moving Target by Cheyenne McCray (autographed)

Blood Ties Book One: The Turning by Jennifer Armintrout (autographed)

Virtually His by Gennita Low (autographed)

To Love a Scoundrel by Kristina Cook

The Naked Duke by Sally MacKenzie (autographed)

Elizabeth's Wolf by Lora Leigh (autographed and LL says this is her favorite of her books)

My Big Fat Supernatural Honeymoon (autographed badly by Kelley Armstrong...I mean she has bad penmanship)

Right Here, Right Now by HelenKay Dimon (autographed)

I also heard that I should check out Jessica Andersen's newest (comes out in June) NightKeepers - supposed to be along the lines of JR Ward.  She previously wrote some Harlequin Intrigues but this is her big break apparently.  I'm intrigued.

I would have LOVED to have gone. Maybe if it's ever closer to me.  I love so many of those authors you named!

Dawn - I heard that next year's is in Orlando - don't know if that's closer or not!  Unfortunately, it's so crowded that you feel guilty (or at least I did) trying to stay and chat especially with the lines.

Orlando is further away than this year's!  I need it to be in Nashville, possibly Atlanta, or maybe central Ohio to be a reasonable driving distance for me.

I went.....in fact I helped set up the books. If you help for 2 hours you get a 10% discount.  The convention was crazy!!! There was sooo much stuff to do. A lot of great things were going on at one time and I was running a round like a cicken with its head cut off.  I mailed two boxes home media mail and can't wait to get them. The parties were off the hook!!
