When I was a little girl, I absolutely loved this book. Rabbit and her son must find a new house when theirs falls down, so they look and look before finding one. I was fascinated with the little animal houses shown in the book and the way Rabbit uses acorn tops for tea cups and moss for a carpet and a fir branch for a broom. I was also comforted by the way Rabbit looks after her son, reassuring him that they would find a new home.
