The second book of "Sons of Texas Trilogy". The first book is titled "Sons of Texas". This second book, "The Raiders",is the continuing story of Michael Lewis and his brother as they make their way in Texas before it became a Republic and then a State. They are granted land by Stephen F. Austin and then have to defend it. As with all Elmer Kelton books, you can't go wrong with the Sons of Texas Trilogy. An especially good story. Don't let the lack of stars keep you from reading this trilogy.
