Heat Lightning
Like a stalwart lily, her roots plunged deep in the Arkansas soil, farmer's wife Maggie Tyrrell Whitcomb had endured drought surved deluge. But the Civil War had proved crueler still: dividing her beloved brothers, changing her precious boy, leaving her big blond husband only half a man...making Maggie thirst for Southern comforts now gone with the wind.
Then a mysterious drifter arrived and Maggie felt her body quake and her soul tremble. For she tasted temptation in Reid Prescott's arms. And the battle of her life between duty and desire was just beginning. Could she survive the turbulent storm and blossom in its wake like the ephemeral rain lily?
