Great follow-up to his "Chasing the Devil's Tail" book. Apparently, a lesser known book was written before this one too - called "Jass" aka Jazz.
This book was not nearly as graphic in the murder scenes of his early "Devil's Tail," but it brought a great cast of characters together with some good plot twists. While this one was a bit more predictable than his first novel, I enjoyed it more.
Good plot development. Doesn't drag much. Good overall historical perspective of New Orleans. I could totally see where the protagonist was going from the cross street references from living in the city for awhile.
