This book had a lot of plot for a romance novel. At least it was good plot. I've read too many romance novels that try to masquerade with a plot and fail. This one does not. The "twins switching places" idea has been used so many times, but this book doesn't fall down because of it. The characters are likable and believable. Even the characters you hate... you like them because you hate them.
The one thing I couldn't wrap my head around is that the characters are 22ish in the book. I have a hard time believing that early twenty-somethings act like that in any era.
Bonus points for the interesting use of a brothel.
Double bonus points for including the down and dirty, poor parts of regency London.
all her life alexandra sheffield has been expected to wed lord christopher hatten but she is in love with his twin brother,
Alexandra Sheffield is betrothed to Lord Christopher Hatton, but loves his twin, Nicholas.
Chris gambles away the family fortune & Nick must win it back & get the girl.
This was a pretty good book. Not my favorite by Henley but it was good. The plot and storyline were very good.
Alexandra Sheffield has been expected to marry the wealthy Lord Christopher Hatton. Instead, she is consumed with longing for his twin brother, Nicholas. When Christopher gambles away his inheritence and plans to marry Alexandra for her money, Nicholas will do anything to protect Alex.
wow what a story intresting , thrilling and you can't put it down
Characters we can all relate to. Good plot. Enjoyed story.
Great book! I absolutely love any book that Virginia Henley writes. She is one of my favorite all time writers.
This book was Ok. I wanted to kick Kit's butt he is one character that just got under my skin like no other character. Ugh I was so frustrated at one point. I don't want to ruin the ending but, I don't think Kit got what he deserved but it all ended ok for Nick.
