Hello,

I just received a book off my waitlist - autorequest. It is still listed on my waitlist and I had no (still have no) notification that a book is en route to me. The sender used PBS to print the wrapper with my mailing address on it then has a USPS label on top of that.

How can I find who sent it so they can get their credit? I searched the member directory, but it doesn't look like she is there.

I'd use the contact us link at the bottom right of this page and give them all the details you can.     They might be able to look through and find the member.

Sounds like they forgot to mark it mailed.

If they forgot to mark it mailed then the transaction will be in your Transaction Archive as a cancelled request. You can go into your Transaction Archive and give a credit to the sender. Just double check that you are crediting the right person, as once you do it, it cannot be undone.

Then check that the book is no longer on your Wish List

You can find the Transaction Archive on both your pull down My Account menu and on your My Account main page.

You have to be VERY CAREFUL in the Transaction Archive. That also has cancelled orders, folks who never responded. Always double and triple check the sender before marking a book in your Transaction Archive.

In addition, a credit will be taken from your account if the book is in the Transaction Archive. (Your credit would have been returned when the book was canceled.)

Sara & Emily yes

As already mentioned, it may be that the sender forgot to mark the book mailed and thus it timed off your home-page.  Check your archive and see it it's there, and double check the sender to be sure.

Otherwise, you'll probably have to contact PBS Admin.  Is there a transaction number on the mailer anywhere?

This happened to me once. The system wouldn't allow me to mark the book as received until the sender marked it as mailed. So, I had to go to my transaction archive and send the sender a PM to mark it mailed.

Amber, it is that way while the book is still active, on your My Account main page. Once it is cancelled, the book is moved to the TA, where you can mark it as received.

If they don't respond before it times out, you need to make sure it didn't reorder the book for you  and cancel that transaction if it's not a wish list book.  If it is a wish list book and it times out then you need to go remove it from you wish list.

If it is your transaction Archive, it has already timed out and there really isn't anything the sender can do other than confirm that it is the book they send to you. On your Wish List, put the book on Hold until you get this sorted out. That way you won't get offered another copy and you can keep your spot in the WL line until you get it taken care of. Once you confirm the transaction is the correct one in your TA, you can mark it received from there.
