There was a short story in the anthology A Girl's Guide to Guns and Monsters by Alexander B. Potter.  About a lesbian weaver leaving in Vermont.   Maybe 30 pages.  Wonderful humor.  Got me looking all over for more stories by this guy.  He seems to mainly edit SF/F anthologies.

I just finished reading Elizabeth Massie's Welcome Back to the Night. She's a master at creating unforgettable, twisted, and evil characters. It starts out with a family reunion, an unusual connection between three cousins and an "odd" girl, and explores a malignant group of people that hate anyone who is different. This book made me sick to my stomach, but I had a difficult time putting it down.

Several actually:

Cheating Chance (Taking the Odds, Bk 1) Author: James Buchanan.  And two sequels.

Scarlet and the White Wolf Author: Kirby Crow.  The fun beginning of a fantasy trilogy.

Unusual for me, re-read Cut & Run and Sticks & Stones by Urban & Roux.  Both were still yummy the second time!

And recently purchased the new Nightrunner book, The White Road (Book 5) by Lynn Flewelling

I just read Chasing Smoke by K.A. Mitchell. Best book I have read in a long time. I also recommend anything by Bart Yates.

I enjoyed Chasing Smoke. I've also enjoyed J.L. Langley's With or Without series.
