What did you think? Who would you compare her to if you could? Thanks. |

I've read three of hers and quite liked them, except there was way too much violence for me. Her mix of suspense and romance is excellent, but I don't know if I'll keep reading her, because of the violence factor. If you like her, I'd recommend Linda Howard. |

I LOVE Linda Howard so if they are similar I'm in luck. Thanks! |

I'd like to try some Karen Rose books too. All About Romance gives her "B" reviews, which isn't bad. If I come across a deal in the book bazaar I might pick her books up. |

I have read all of Karen Rose's books and have liked just about all of them. I always buy her books new and keep them. I like that the books are all related even though most of them, with the exception of her last three, can be read separately. That always sucks me in because you meet a character in one book that you like so then you have to read their story. I recommend starting with her first book, Don't Tell. I prefer reading in order just so you can see the development of the secondary characters along the way. There is violence in her books but I don't think she goes overboard with it but my reading preferences lean towards the more suspenseful. As to who I would compare her to, I don't think I read anyone else like her. I have seen her compared to Lisa Jackson but I'm not sure I would agree with that because I always find Jackson's books to be kind of hit or miss. http://www.karenrosebooks.com/ |

I think I'll take your advice, Windy, and start with Don't Tell. I like romantic suspense with an emphasis on the suspense, so I think I might like her. |

Me too; I'm a big fan of romantic suspense. Some of my favs: Karen Rose, Linda Howard, Suzanne Brockman, and Marliss Melton. |

Love Karen Rose, but I think her last couple were more thriller than romance. Poor Vito got one scene on the stairs. |

If someone could suggest her better books, I would really appreciate it. She seems to have a lot of books out, so I'm not sure where to start. Do you have to read her books in order? Which of her books had more romance, less romance, etc. Any info would be helpful. Thanks!
