figured I would start this topic since it's a question so many of us have so often lol

I am going through my tbr and I have these books, which are like number 10 in both series, and was wondering if they need to be read in order. I have to catch a thief by christina skye which i guess is part of 2 or 3 series lol and viking unchained by sandra hill which i think is number 8 in ehr 2nd viking series. Do i need to read 18 other books before these 2? lol

I don't think you need to read the previous Viking books to follow "Viking Unchained".  It mentions characters from previous books but does tell who they are in a brief description.  I would recommend reading both her Vikings series (there's I and II) only because they are so good.  Her books always make me laugh, they are so humorous.  I love her!!

I agree with Dawn, the Viking books read just fine as stand alones and are great if you just need a laugh. I don't know about the Skye book, sorry.

For the Skye book it's okay if you read it as a stand alone.   I did this as it was my first book by her, and it was pretty good, it was a little confusing in some parts but not so much that you can't enjoy the book.
