Diving Through Clouds by Nicola Lindsay: Kate is dying.dying.dead; but not quite. Total demise would have deprived her guardian angel, Thomas, from taking her on a nose-dive through the clouds of self-denial to see herself in the eyes of the friends and family she left behind. It also gives Kate an opportunity to tidy up some of the messed-up lives, including her own, that she has just left behind. As she hovers in the astral plane of her former existence, Kate takes a closer look at her love-starved relationship with a husband who had abandoned her shortly after marriage, and a daughter who had abandoned both of them. The hero of the day is her seven-year-old grandson Matt, who acts as a catalyst for the healing that Kate orchestrates from her celestial balcony.« less
Excellent stories in one book. Diving Through Clouds was my favorite. Written from the perspective of someone who has died, it is touching, while making you laugh out loud while reading! The writer's style gives you a look at life through a new perspective. Very enjoyable.
