(Partly that's because I have the world's best job - reading the latest best sellers and sharing my favorite with you.) But now what I love most is the way a good book has the power to evoke memories.
That feeling was really driven home when I read the novels in this volume. "2nd Chance" reminded me of my first trip to San Francisco - a unique, beautiful city I have come to adore. "An Accidental Women" took me back to how I felt when my husband and I fell in love years ago. "City of Bones" had me remembering how unpredictable life can be, that we can't always anticipate what's going to happen to us or to those we care about. And "Distant Shores" brought to mind wonderful memories I have of my own mother.
Perhaps these four books will remind you of special moments in your own life. If so, I'd love to hear from you. In the meantime, I wish you hours of happy reading.
