This book is part of the Ready, Freddy! Reader series for developing readers. It's a level 2 book, which means it's for grades 1-2, and has 731 words in it. It's a great introduction to the character, who is really popular in the Ready, Freddy! chapter books. I'm really glad this new series is out for the younger, emergent readers, because now my younger son can read about the same characters as his older brother, and when the time comes, will look forward to the challenge of moving up to the chapter books in this series.
