This is the essential tool for parents, who are their children's first and most important teacher
This is an introduction to parents and caregivers to over 400 books and 4... more »00 poems arranged in 60 book-sharing activities. Parents are provided with more than a year's worth of books and poems to use with children! Each activity features one outstanding children's book and presents parents with strategies for guiding their children through the book in ways that promote enjoyment and learning. In addition to the featured book there are six additional books and seven poems recommended (in essence, a week's worth of reading). These all center around a theme associated with the featured book; for example, when "Cloudy With a Chance of Meatballs" is introduced, the following poems are about food and/or the weather.
