I REALLY like this series in fact it is the series that got me into paranormal..HOWEVER , this book stank. In fact it was so bad I will not buy her books again. I purchase all her books the day they hit the shelf at book stores and this one was so bad I will read the next when someone passes it on and then see what I think FROM THERE. Where did she go wrong in this book you may wonder. Well, the author is so hung up on weight (her own I think) that Glory the main character in the book went way over the top talking about her weight. Every other sentence was some lame massively low self esteem comment about her weight. There really wasn't much of a story. We all know she is a plus size vamp and that is cool and cute in most of her books but this made her out to be pathetic. All in all the book rated less than a part of a star. I hope the author wakes up and make the weight a footnote in the story again not the obsessive blathering one got in this book. Can you tell I hated the book :-)
I couldn't finish this book. I think this is 1 of 3 books I haven't/couldn't finish in the last 10 yrs. I finish books...even awful books. So what does that say? I'm officially done with this series....the book is mindless replay of the other 4. Same story, new scene....even the sex scenes were bad. There is much better paranormal out there. Don't waste your time.
i hated this book. i didn't even want to finish it, but i forced myself through. The endless weight blathering and selfishness of Glory in this book were extremely annoying. She is supposedly a size 12 which is not really even a plus size. if she were really a size 12 she would not be able to wear most of the vintage clothes mentioned in other books. i may give the next book a chance because of Valdez but if she continues on with the weight whining which all of the titles implies then i will stop reading this series.
I love this series. Gloria is a hoot!! What an imagination the author has. She gets turned while it's that bloated time of month and is stuck in a bloated state for eternity. In this book she goes to Hollywood with a Vampire Celebrity. She gets into more messes as before but you laugh through the book.
