Topic: I had a really fun paperbackswap.com surprise tonight...........

I ordered 3 books off of another members bookshelf and this person happens to live in the same town as I do. Instead of mailing the books to me she just dropped them off. It was fun to put a real face and smile to the books I ordered. The books were delivered to me in less than 24 hours after I requested them. How's that for service. ; -)

I had a similar thing happen... someone that I knew from another website, joined paperback swap because I mentioned it there and she ordered some books from me. It turns out that she lives in my town (only 25,000 people total) and we didn't realize it - so she just came over and picked them up and we got to meet . Pretty cool! Janna

Well, I found out this person doesn't just live in my town, she lives just up the street in my neighborhood. We all must be special to have this happen to us. ; -) LOL

I got to deliver a book in person to someone from another state! A PBSer from Colorado was visiting my little corner of California, and I got to meet her and give her a book that her husband ordered from me! Very cool! PBS people are so nice. = ) ~Jori |
