I just finished The Wolfman by Nicholas Pekearo http://www.paperbackswap.com/book/details/9780765320261-The+Wolfman, which was really great.  The main character was believable and original, and the way the author handled the werewolf stuff was fantastic.  The introduction said that the author intended it to be a series with the main character, Marlowe Higgins, as a recurring detective.  The outlines for the other books and this first novel show how talented Pekearo was, making his early death even more tragic.  At least he got to leave the world one taste of his creativity.  I highly recommend this to any werewolf fans.

Have you read The Wolf's hour by Robert McCammon? It has always been my favorite werewolf story. Very well done and a WWII spy story as well!

Never heard of that one, I'll have to check it out.  I just ordered this one: Ravenous that's got really good reviews.  http://www.paperbackswap.com/book/details/9780843958201-Ravenous

Ravenous is great.  I like Ray Garton's writing style.  There is a sequel coming out called "Bestial" so look out for that one too!

I liked Ravenous also.  Lots of action - and by action I mean gore & violence.  I also read The Wolf's Hour and it wasn't bad - I love McCammon's books, but Ravenous has more alot more rampaging werewolves. lol.

I'm reading Bestial right and haven't gotten very far but it does show promise of being as exciting as the first.  I'm having trouble remembering Ravenous though I don't know why because it wasn't that long ago since I read it.  Bestial refers a lot to things that happened previously so that is good at ringing some bells.  It's really good.
