I just took my lunch break and was reading my current book (a paranormal romance) because it's really good.   Of course, I just finished reading a hot sex scene - and had to cut it off at that point and go back to work.

Now I'm all hot and botherered and have to go into a business meeting!

Note to self - only read hot romances AT HOME.

Oh yeah, I hear ya. I have a work-at-home job answering customer service phone calls - when it's slow I read between calls, and sometimes I get to giggling when the phone rings for the very reason you stated. I'm thinking, I hope they can't tell what I'm thinking.... but then, what can I do? skip those scenes?? No way!

I was reading while waiting to pick up my son today and the buzzer sounded at JUST the most exciting possible moment. I think I jumped three feet.

a couple of weeks ago someone posted they had a Lora Leigh book available on the WL thread - i believe it's the SEAL series.  so i went to amazon, and found one from that series that had 'search inside this book' available, and hit 'surprise me' a couple of times to see what it looked like.  i hit a *seriously* hot scene.  oh my - not good to read at work!

This is part of why I asked about um certain um toys being allowed in luggage when flying.  I'm going to have a couple nights alone in a hotel room.  But I think I'm just going to take books that I know won't get me worked up.  I think I'll take the hotter ones with me when DH and I driving cross country.  We won't have the kid with us and the dog is used to our escapades.

Sorry!    I thought you ladies had it figured out already because it's listed in my siggie line!

The book in question was Double Dating with the Dead by Karen Kelley - a paranormal romance about a psychic who is dared to prove the existence of ghosts to a non-believer by staying with him in an old abondoned hotel for two weeks (think old west saloon type hotel).  There are, of course, ghosts in the hotel - a man and a woman who were lovers.  Because they can no longer "get physical" with each other, they encourage the attraction (the ghosts have ways of doing this) of the REAL couple and live vicariously through them.  Of course, those two don't really need much encouragement - or any after a while LOL.

Click on my siggie link for more info!

Well, I definitely wouldn't put a "toy" in carry on.  Imagine having that searched!

One of the first erotic novels I bought (The Pearl), was an accident (I was in my early 20's IIRC).  I was flying on business and picked it up in an airport book store, thinking it was just short stories.  Boy did that make for an uncomfortable flight!
