Hi all. I just joined PBS last month and I'm in love! I've had great success posting books, mailing books and ordering more books. I've only had one glitch to date and that was when a member sent me the wrong book. I marked it as such and sent the sender a personal message, but got no response. I've since ordered the book I was trying to get from another member, but am wondering if there is additional action that should be taken.
I fully understand how someone might mix up books when mailing, but I assumed that there would be some effort to fix the problem. It kind of bothers me that I wasted a credit on a book I don't want and that member earned a credit for screwing up. Any suggestions from those of you who have been at this longer than I?
Otherwise, I'm totally satisfied with PBS. It's kind of scary how excited I get when I get a request or receive a book that I've requested. <smile>
Hi Donna, the Help Center says this (in general about problem transactions)
If a book you requested with a credit arrives with a problem, you need to PM the sender (instructions below). If the sender does not respond to your PM within a week, let us know. Non-response to PMs that clearly ask for a response acts as a "double black mark" on a sender's account, and non-response from a sender after this pattern is established in his/her account will be taken as admission of fault. We will intervene in those cases.
