I had ordered a book a month or so ago (maybe a couple of months.. I really dont remember)..from someone and it took a  really long time to get it. Eventually PaperbackSwap sent me a message and said the book was "lost in the mail" and they gave my credit back. Well I reordered that book and it looks like it was mailed on Dec. 18th but there is no place to mark that I have recieved the book so what do I do??? I can't email the lady that sent it cause my messages only let me send a message to someone on my friend's list..Any help would be appreciated... Thank you

Are you saying you got 2 copies of the same book? If you received a book that was declared lost, you can mark it received through the transaction archive. If you received a 2nd book after the 1st was declared lost, you don't have to give the 1st sender the credit if the reason the book went lost was they mailed it late. If they mailed on time and the book went lost because of slow delivery by the PO, you have to give the 1st sender the credit.

The first copy will be in your Transaction Archive, probably marked with a blue question mark.   You can PM the member from there.

You can find the Transaction Archive on both your pull down My Account menu and on your My Account main page.

You have to be VERY CAREFUL in the Transaction Archive. That has both cancelled orders (folks who never responded) and active "lost" orders. Always double and triple check the sender before marking a book in your Transaction Archive.

In addition, a credit will be taken from your account if the book is in the Transaction Archive. (Your credit would have been returned when the book was canceled.)

Thank you... I only got one book and it was the one that was marked "lost in the mail." I went to the tranaction archive, which I obviously didnt know existed, and marked it recieved so the lady could get her credit. Thank you so much.. I feel better now :)

Well I reordered that book ...

Are you saying you cancelled the request from reordering the book? If you reordered the book and didn't cancel that new request, then you are going to end up paying twice for the book because the active transaction on your main My Account page is the one that has to be marked received.
