I love the way Kaminsky writes. His characters are deliciously predictable making them comforting in the chaos of his tale. I learn a lot about Russia and it's people's mind set. It makes me happy to be American even in today's distressing times. You develop real affection for the characters and sympathy for the dilemma the get into. this one is a great story. Better if you can find an audio.
