After reading the first book in the series, it was easy to return to the method used to weave this tale! Flipping from present day to "other world" can be confusing but it was a thrilling ride! It only took a day or two to read this gripping novel!
Red is the second book in Dekker's trilogy which includes "Black," "Red," and "White." As is the case with all his books I've read so far, this one is a page-turner. Lots of action, lively characters, and an unusual, absorbing plot pull you in and keep you eager to know what happens next. This trilogy is an apt analogy of Christ's redemptive work on the cross and what that does and should mean in our lives. It paints a vivid picture of His amazing love for us and what He has designed redemption to do in us. I highly recommend it for anyone who wants an exceptionally good read!
I loved it. As with all his books, it pulls me in until I finish it. I couldn't wait until I got White to find out how it ends. Quite surprising. All in all, a wonderful trilogy and I would recommend it to everyone.
There is a lot to keep up with--Thomas is in two worlds through his dreams, in the present world he is the only one that can save the world from an airborne virus and in his dream world is where he finds the information he needs. Read Black first as this is a series you need to start at the beginning.
This book is a must read. The trilogy begins with Black and this is the second book. You are right there with the characters and cannot put the book down. I read it in two nights. Riveting, thrilling, and very quick moving. I loved this book.
I love this series. As usual Ted Dekker does not disappoint. Once you start to read the book it is hard to put down. And once I put it down I find myself thinking to when I can squeeze in a moment to read some more. This is the second in the series and contiues Thomas Hunter's adventures between two different worlds. I think what makes this series so fascinating is that in the back of your mind you know that what is happening could actually be a probability someday.
