It is not often that I give a book such an enthusiastic five stars. There are a lot of characters in this book, it took a while to get into and I almost put it down but the payoff was worth it. This is fantasy that any Tolkien fan would love. Magic, battles, seiges, good vs. evil (?), this novel has everything a LOTR fan could love and more. Cameron, in his debut novel, is able to immerse the reader in the emotions of the his well-developed characters and I become invested in their lives.
My only suggestion for future volumes in this series, is to add a map of the world and a glossary of the many characters. I absolutely can't wait for The Fell Sword, Book 2 in the Traitor Son Cycle.
