Does anyone have experience fighting off these horrible creatures?  I was told once that a product used for killing grubs works wonders and I can't remember the name of the product.

Do you mean the bug that is on asiatic and oriental lillies?  If so the two things we have found that works is either seven.  Red bottle can be bought at walmart.  It will kill all bugs though.  And you have to retreat as it says.   So you may kill more bugs than you mean to.  It does work you just need to make sure and spray all your lillies.  Or picking them off everyday!  Be sure to watch for the little tiny orange babies on the underside of the leaves.  Good luck.  I've switched to day lillies because I couldn't keep up with the maintenance.

Thanks.  I too have started to switch over to the day lily but they just aren't the same.  We have the worst soil and the asiatic and oriental lilies (for reasons unknown to me!) loved our soil.  They would grow so huge!  There are bugs I would dislike to kill off, such as bees, so looks like day lilies for me!    Thanks again.
