I finished my book The Woman in Blue by Elly Griffiths it is book 8 in the series.  4 stars out of 5  Interesting history of the town of Walsingham, England but I missed the discussion of archeology. Ms. Griffithis does a very good job of expanding her characters and dealing with the struggles of single working mom. Here writing makes you want to visit this part of England. The mystery itself was just so so. She has had better mysteries in earlier books.

Reading 2 new additions to the older Stewart Hoag series by David HandlerThe Girl With the Kaleidoscope Eyes and The Man Who Couldn't Miss are set in 1992. Hoagie is a ghostwriter for celebrity books.  He and Lulu (Basset Hound) solve the murders that always seem to surface. He is a smart alec, in a good way, one of my favorite type of characters.  He also wrote the Berger & Mitry series and the Benji Golden series.  Enjoyed them all.

The Absent One by Jussi Adler-Olsen. police procedural I guess. This is book 2 of a series. According to the reviews I read the series should be read in order, but I didn't know that when I got this book. I think I can figure out some of the earlier stuff from the first book.

this book is taking forever to read. It is interesting and I am enjoying it, but it's long. and it has sort of smallish print. I am about 200pp and only half way.

I am reading a very good historical mystery

Alice & the Assassin by R.J. Koreto.  It in set in 1902 New York. The main character is Alice Roosevelt. Teddy Roosevelt's daughter. Very interesting and well done. Highly recommend
