I love Gretchin Wilson and this book was very well written and told you about her life growing up wit an unstable family, her problems with alcohol and when she made it big.

If you are a country music fan and a redneck woman like I am, you learn bits and pieces about Gretchen Wilson through some her autobiographical songs and her website. However, this book fills in the blanks and answers the questions you have about Gretchen Wilson, her life and her rise to stardom.

If you are not redneck woman or country music fan, then you need to read this book just to learn about another sub-culture of America that is often misundersood or ignored. It will be an eye opener for you.

Stories taken from the life of country music star, Gretchen Wilson. A candid, introspective look at what made her the kind of woman she is today. Full of those funny/tragic truisms that all "Redneck Women" can understand.

Interesting, entertaining book.

This is a must read for any country music fan. Gretchen tells of her humble beginnings and the struggles she has faced since making herself known in Nashville. This book solidified my ideas of her being a down-to-earth type of gal. Loved it!!

I enjoyed this book. It was a quick read. The last chapter was very good. The rest of this book was about her life and it adds a different dimension to her songs to know where she came from.
