Mine, could not tell it was refurb, it was like brand new.

I ordered one - saw it posted on fatwallet and jumped....mother's day gift to myself that I will share with the kiddos.  Got it yesterday, set it up last night and already killed the battery - charging it up now.  Put netflix and hulu on, have all my books from my kindle transferred over and a few games/apps.  I'm not sure I will read on it too much - it feels heavier than my kindle and seems to cause more eye strain.  It's fun though and hopefully it will be offered for that price again - maybe the kids will get them from santa.

I'm disappointed in the free month of prime - figured i'd find some good books to borrow and save some $$.  It looks like you can only borrow 1 book per month and the selection is not great - most are books that have been offered free or cost a few bucks.  I was hoping for some of the $9.99 - $12.99 bestsellers.

Very few of the new Agency Six books are ever discounted, in any way. So I wasn't surprised.

We're on the trial Prime membership. I don't order a ton of stuff, but we're doing it for the better shipping. I've been watching a few movies on-line, as a perk. I feel that the selection there is pretty poor as well for the Prime members.

And with the Prime you can't borrow any books unless you have a Kindle machine. If you just have Kindle4pc or a Kindle app on anything but the Fire, you can't even borrow the one book with a Prime Membership.

Bummer. But we did it for the better shipping anyway.

Any of the Kindles. I have a book I'd been wanting, She Can Run, this month, whenever I get around to actually reading it. I've got it on my Fire. Since I put my eink Kindle on a different account, it's either read it there, or on my daughter's wifi Kindle. I guess that's what I'll be reading in bed at night!
