My friend wrote this book (I had 2 copies --this is the spare) and it is a MUST for any new teacher who is learning how to take hold of their class and not have the kids run over you. Tips on how to be a gentle disciplinarian, yet still be an effective teacher.

While this book has mostly common sense solutions (class rules, teacher look, etc.), it prompted me to reflect upon my teaching practices and identify aspects of classroom management I can improve (ie.picking your battles.) This was definitely worth the time it took to read for the entertainment alone. I even laughed out loud a few times. So I do highly recommend it especially for new/newer teachers.
This book was more or less a report of the gentleman's first years of teaching. I didn't get much useful information from it at all. I was pretty disappointed in it. The best part is the advise from other teachers at the back of the book.
