This book has 100 different mini biographies. Each biography was probably about four paragraphs long. I enjoyed how it was written; the author could have said, "She was born here, wrote this, died in this town," but she actually made it interesting.
This book is kind of like a guideline for other books to read -- many a time did I place a scrap of paper within the pages to note to myself that I should look for that here later.
This book is a succinct account of 100 of the most remarkable women writers and journalists. Some of them were new to me; others were old friends. I enjoyed this book; it made me curious enough to do further research because the scope of this book does not allow deep exploration of each writer or journalist.
