Well...I got the first half of my order last week.  Today, I opened the second half of my order.  Holy Toledo!  Just about every book in the box was banged up, dirty, crumpled pages; one book has a broken spine, and the back cover is loose!  I can't believe it!  The box may have been damaged.  There is tape wound around the entire bottom 2/3 of the box.  But man!  It looks like my books fell out, got stepped on, mangled, and then packed neatly back in the box.  Now, not every book was damaged, but enough that I'm really disappointed.  I'll have some unpostables in the coming months, so bear this in mind!  *eye roll*

I have:  Black Ships, by Jo Graham ~~ Daughter of Troy, by Sarah B. Franklin ~~ Heretic, by Bernard Cornwell ~~ The Warrior's Princess, by Barbara Erskine ~~ The Angel and the Sword, by Cecelia Holland ~~ The Book of Fires, by Jane Borodale

The Forgotten Legion, by Ben Kane ~~ Bring down the sun, by Judith Tarr ~~ Veil of Lies and Serpent in the Thorns, by Jeri Westerson ~~ In the Eye of Heaven and In a Time of Treason, by David Keck.

And the first three Genghis books, only one of which is a bit dirty.  Those were for my library.

Thank goodness for Mimi and her lovely box of books!

I'm sorry that happened, I agree, let them know.

(whispers - is it wrong I perused the list hoping one of my WL books would be on it?)

No, Mimi -- it's not wrong -- it's what any self-respecting HF forum member would do (at least, that's my story).wink

LOL...why do you think I posted the list?

I think it was damaged by the post office.  It's not really Book Closeouts fault.  It's just irritating.

I would still let them know, so they can address it with the Post office. If they threatened to give all their business to UPS...

Hmmm...okay, I'll let them know what happened.  They  probably would like to know that the PO is stomping on their boxes.

Vivky, I had two from BCO that arrived damaged and they sent me another copy of one right away. The other one was no longer in stock so they issued me a refund. They were really quick and nice about it; fabulous customer service!!

Well, BCO DOES have incredible customer service!  13 out of 26 books were damaged, but they are going to replace or refund, depending on availability.  How nice!

I love to hear when a company goes above and beyond like this.  So glad for you too Vicki, and for your library.

This is definitely one of the reasons why I love BCO so much!

Glad to hear you contacted them. I would have been surprised at any other outcome. I think they understand Customer Service in the same league as Amazon.

I've never had issues with BCO but I'm glad to know if I ever do, customer service won't be a bear to deal with!
