I suddenly wanted to re-read this book but I cannot for the life of me remember the title or author.  It is a futuristic romance and I think it is part of a series.  The plot has a wounded main male character who refuses to go back home to his family because of his wounds. I think his brother was also supposed to kill him because of the wounds but refused.  In the end, he is healed by the female lead who falls into a coma because of using her powers that are a result of her half-something heritage.  It is killing me that I cannot remember the title or author.

Please help so that this can stop driving me crazy.  Thanks!

Sorry I can't help you. If you don't get any responses here, maybe you will if you cross post this  in the paranormal forum.

This rang a very, very faint bell but the more I think about it the more I think I'm wrong. I was thinking of Justine Davis's THE SKYPIRATE. It was the only book, though; it deserved to be part of a series it was soooo good; there were plenty of secondary characters that needed their own book.

Sounds like "Fire and Ice",  from Sherrilyn Kenyon's In Other Worlds anthology, or originally in Man of My Dreams.

Gail,

Skypirate, while not technically part of a series, did have a related book--Lord of the Storm about Shaylah and Dar/Wolf.  Although I guess you could consider Skypirate part of a duo since it is listed at Coalition Bk 2 here.  I liked LotS equally well, if not better than Skypirate.

Either way though, I don't think either of those books is what the OP is looking for.  Neither of the heroines has a 1/2 something heritage.  While the H in Skypirate does "injure" himself, it is through the overuse of his own powers.  Really good books if you haven't read them.

You're right, Heather. I completely forgot about Lord of the Storm!

It was Fire and Ice.  Thank you for all the help and I will check out Skypirate.
