Finalist 2005 Edgar Award for Best Mystery Novel. Amazing book. I've read dozens of abducted children mysteries and I didn't see this ending coming. It has well-developed believable characters, with human frailities and almost uncomfortably realistic emotions and reactions.
I really liked this book. I had it on my shelf for awhile and one day I decided to read it. WOW!! It was great. It really kept drawn in from start to finish. The story line has several little twist that you won't see coming. I would highly recomend this book to anyone.
A wonderful psychological thriller... one of the best I have read in a while! A truly unexpected ending.
I will definitely be reading more by this author.
This was a great book........a real page turner. Stayed up half the night until I finished it.
Every parent's nightmare .... when a child disappears!
Another writer to add to my "must read" list.
This was an excellent suspense novel with an unexpected ending!! A father's neverending love for his missing daughter.
Very good, edge of your seat thriller.
Very good story. I highly recommend it.
Kept me interested, good read.
Very good...I thought I had it figured out but I wasn't even close!Good suspense and characters.
This is a fast book, it is somewhat fragmented and even though it was very interesting I was looking forward to it to end so that piece it all together. Thankfully the end does clear some things up. It certainly is a mystery, just a little different than others I have rad by this author.
Good read. Has some slow parts, but overcomes this with some surprises and a good ending.
This is a very good book!!
Captures you from the first, about half way through it takes a turn and you wonder where it's going--but hold on---it takes another turn and then you think 'oh ok now I know what's going on' BUT WAIT it takes another turn--wow! very well written
