Sorry for all the questions!  What exactly is the reminder list for?

To keep track of anything you want. Some folks use it to list posted books they are interested in. (We cannot add them to the Wish List.)

What it is really great for is that it is the only way to see how many copies of a book are already listed in the system.

(I use it to keep track of books for swap games. As it is private, unlike the book lists.)

I use it to keep track of books that seem somewhat interesting, whether or not they are posted. If I come across a book that I find even mildly interesting, I will add it to my RL because it is unlimited (unlike the wish list).

There are all sorts of ways to use it.  My wish list is always full.  I use my reminder list for books that have no wishers.  Then when the book is posted, I hope to get to it before anybody else without taking up a wish list slot.  I also add the books I am considering.  And if I find a book that I will need in the next year or two that has lots of copies, I add it to my reminder list.  If the copies available is low, I order it, if the copies available is high, I wait till closer to when I will need it to order.

I use my reminder list for a number of reasons.

Sometimes I put books on there that I am interested in adding to my WL but not sure yet.  Sometimes my WL is maxed out so I go back to my reminder list to see what I can add once I get some free space to add more on my WL.  Sometimes I add books to see how many copies of a book is on here.  Sometimes I put books on there that I see on someone's shelf or WL that look interesting but I don't have time to look at what they are about.  I really need to dwindle my list down though because I currently have over 4100 books on it!!  surprise

I never use it anymore but when I did, it was for the reason Emily gave, to know how many wishers there were for books on my book shelf.

I clean up my wish list and bookshelf all the time. Not my reminder list. It is rather out of control.
