Just wanted to remind folks that there is no Postal Service on Monday January 19.  I was going to delay mailing some books til Monday and then decided to mail today and they had a sign on the door reminding me there is no mail service.

LMAO....thanks because it also helped me to remember that is probably NO SCHOOL!

I live a little bit outside of the city (on the metro line) and I asked the post office if they were open when I dropped some books off today.  They said they'd be open on Tuesday, but I don't have high hopes for stuff moving around too quickly!  It's good to know I'll be able to send out any weekend requests though.

Thank heavens for those lovely blue boxes which are always open! :)

Thanks for the heads up! I had forgotten. I guess I had better make a trip to the post office then before it closes today. I have 4 used books people have bought from me on amazon.com  that have to go out. They only give you TWO days to get them in the mail after they are ordered!

Darn it, I don't have the day off.  Too late to go to the Post Office today so I guess my books will have to wait til Tuesday.  Glad I mailed my cell phone bill today!

Such a bummer. I know the postal service employees need their holidays too, but I love getting the mail each day. It's such a highlight. It seems even more of a bummer b/c there's no mail Sunday, either. Two days of no mail. And I didn't get any books in the mail TODAY either. :-( Boooo.
