Can I remove a book that I've posted to swap? I have a bunch of books listed to sell on a homeschooling web site.  I'd love to post them here as well just in case someone might desire to "swap" that book, but I haven't posted those books because I don't want them waiting in limbo forever on this web site if someone on the other web site might eventually pay for one of them.  Thanks in advance for any advice!

AFAIK, as long as they aren't currently requested by anyone, and just living on your shelf, you can add and remove books to your heart's content.  Just make sure they are not wishlisted (enter the ISBN, and search for them.  If they are wishlisted, a large "W" will appear somewhere to the right of the book title).  If they are wishlisted, they will be tied up by the system until they are accepted for swap or declined by all wishers.

As long as the book isnt wish listed you will be able to remove it from your shelf at any time. There is a check box located to the side of the listing. Click there and then click delete selected items and it will be removed. Id keep a close eye out if you do this though as you may cause hard feelings if you cancel a request because it has been ordered else where. Doesn't seem like it would happen often but it gets brought up a lot around here.

There is no requirement to keep them posted for any period of time.  As Chris said, keep and eye on them so they aren't requested twice. If somehow you forget and have to turn down a request, I would simply say the book is no longer available.

Look them up here to see how many are posted already or if they are WL.  If they aren't available on PBS or WL then don't post them unless you want to send them out here.

I typically post books here first... and if they don't move in a month... I will post them in other places.  That way I know they aren't big movers and the change that a person from somewhere else will want a book at the exact same time someone wants its in PBS is very slim.
