I know that we have discussed this before but I have a unique odor problem.  A nice French Cookbook was stored in our garage and picked up lubricant odors.  Have tried airing it out several times but it is resistant to that form odor elimination.  Can anyone help me?

I've heard putting a book in a plastic bag with a couple of fabric softener sheets works.  I've never tried it though...

That trick (dryer sheets) worked for a book we received one time that was severly inundated with cigarette smoke.

Someone suggest putting it in the freezer for a few days.
