Mary - I looked on SYKM and hitched a ride to her web site - here's what Laura Durham has to say:
After the third book (and two babies along the way), I took a little break from the crazy writing/touring schedule. It isn't so easy to juggle babies, brides and books! I haven't stopped writing (to assure those of you who have emailed me) but I am looking for a new home for the series. As a lot of you avid mystery fans know, the publishing industry is going through a tough time so publishers have cut back and sometimes eliminated entire mystery lines! Lots of us at Avon Books were displaced and some of my personal favorites have changed genres or stopped writing.
I have heard the cries from those of you who are anxious to see what happens to Annabelle and Richard and the rest of the crew (and who Annabelle ends up with), so I will be posting some new chapters of the next book in the series on my wedding blog. Check out www.bridalbubbly.blogspot.com for a sneak peek (and you can see what I'm up to in the wedding planning world, too). I'll be posting chapters every so often, although I can't promise a regular schedule when wedding season starts again. A huge thanks to all the loyal fans who have sent the sweetest emails telling me know much you miss the books. I really appreciate your support. Mystery readers really are the coolest people!
Geri thanks for the update on the wedding planner series. I've always enjoyed that one and hoped she'd come out with some more. It's amazing what a hard hit the cozy mysteries are getting in the publishing world. Meanwhile most of the new series coming out all seem to be about culinary, knitting or crafts and the more unique series are the ones going under.
