Someone posted a wishlisted book and I was the lucky one next in line. Then they PMed me to say oops, it was an ARC, do you still want it. I said No and they canceled.

THEN they reposted it. Joy, I was still next in line. I PMed them and said "Did you accidently post the book again" while making it clear that 'I'm on to you!'

They told ME to cancel and I refused, not wanting to lose my place in line (I made that bit clear).

And I have not heard back and the book is still Waiting on Member.

So...after all that, my question:
When the book times out, if they repost it, will it go to me again?

I am more amused than anything and I look forward to getting it posted to me another time from this member since I am in no hurry. But if it goes to another member rather than me, I am going to contact PBS since I have PM proof that they knew what they were doing and I don't want anyone else to get cheated out of a book they can't repost.

I'd maybe just shoot them a quick email telling them if that you see this book again, you're going to report them for repeatedly posting a book that they know is not postable.

They're hoping to ask person after person the same question until they find someone that says "sure, I don't care."

What Lisa said.  Yes, as long as you are next in line, it will continue to be offered to you.  You should NOT cancel the request, as that will put you at the end of the Wish list line once again.

I would go ahead and report them since they are balantly breaking the rules by posting an ARC.  They know it is against the rules yet they continue to do so.

Yup, I'd report them as well. They are just waiting it out until somebody says yes.

I do plan to report. But I am very curious if the person is going to try to pull a fast one a third time. Maybe I just need more entertainment in my life, haha! :)

By all means Amy, go for the entertainment value!  It's so rare that waiting for a transaction to time-out is something other than frustrating  wink
