I received a request (non-wishlist) for a hardback book. The requestor has an RC stating "I only want audio cds that are unabridged.  Thank you."  Should I assume that the requestor knows that he/she ordered a hardback book and send the book, or should I decline on the assumption that he/she thinks that an audio cd has been requested?

I would assume the requester knows what they are ordering and this RC only applies to when they are ordering audio books.

ETA:  I've read a countless number of threads, where members were griping because their requests were turned down for this very reason.  Or they had RC's that mentioned dust covers with hardbacks and the member wouldn't send the book because they ordered a paperback.

I would accept the request and send the book the member ordered.

I too would assume that she knows what she has orderes, though I might suggest that she turn off the RC when requesting non-audio books to avoid confusion and needless rejections of her request due to the R.C. :)

Thank you! I was thinking that they probably keep the RC on all the time!

Yes, that's correct.  The RC is only for audio books. Since the requestor ordered a regular book, the RC doesn't apply.
