I am relatively new. When I joined, I quickly received several requests for my books, which I promptly mailed. Now however it has slowed to a stop. Is there anything I can do to up my requests for I can have more credits? Thanks

say "I am relatively new. Please look at my shelf."

or "I need credits. Please look at my shelf."

or... "PLEASE adopt my cute little books"....

(The bazaar is a good place to do this.)

Posting generally in any of the forums also helps you get notice and sometimes people also check out your shelf

You can also put "stuff" in your signature line.

I would suggest in order to get folks to select your books you need to run a special (like 2 for 1 or such).  You have some very common books...looked at 6-8 of them and the majority have 150-270 copies in the system...

The other suggestion is to check out the club wishlist, make a note of some of them (with the ISBN) and then go to garage sales, flea markets, and thrift shops to see if you can find any for cheap....

Adding some new books to your shelf often helps. I'm not quite sure how it works, but apparently it brings the shelf/books to people's attention.

For those credits you do have left, try to pick books that have fewer copies in the system or are wish listed. That way, when you are done with them, you will be more likely to have a quick turnaround.

I think it goes in waves...I had 12 requests (in one week) a few weeks ago, then I was at a standstill.

On a slow spurt I look at it as a chance to read some of Mount TBR.  No time packaging means more time reading ;)
