Loved, Loved Loved it!

A good suspensefull tale that doesn't seem to stop moving forward. A smart intelligent heroine who's overcome much (the fact of which made me like her even more, and may be hard for Ms Reece to top), and a Hero with a sense of honor & who I'd have liked to know more of made an overall compelling story... Though not perfect... the few things that bothered me: (These aren't major spoilers, and may even more raise questions then answer any, but I think they'd still be considered spoilers, so beware):

The summary doesn't mention this (and I'll try not to give away to much here) but at one point the mother of the heroine flat out lies to both the H and h (as well as other people)... they both know she's an evil vile liar, yet they both still fall victim to her lies...Seriously? And at another point the h is hurt and alone and needs to contact someone...Does she call her step dad who she knows loves (or at least has some affection for) her? Of course not, she calls evil mom again! Evil mom who she knows doesn't even like her! Grrrr....

There was also a bit at when Ms Reece intro's the heroine (as well as the relationship ) from the next book in this series (Return to Me) that annoyed me, but the end made up for it... Mostly. And While I defnitely look forward to reading more from CR (despite the few bits that bugged me), I may have to wait a while though, before reading that heroine's story, so I can stop being so annoyed at her!

This is an awesome three book series by Ms. Reece. A must read of all three books. Read them in order and I know you will love them as much as I did.

The first 20 pages of this book I thought were rather slow. Once it picked up I could not put it down.

Wow - great read! You definately won't be disappointed. Author did a great job of hitting all your emotional buttons!

The dialog is suspenseful and the relationships burn the pages. I just started reading this author so of course, she's now going on my great author list!

Don't pass up the chance to read this one!

This was a great book. Sometimes I thought the hero was a bit dense in his lack of understanding, but I still loved how the H/H interacted and finally got it right.

Eden St. Claire works for Last Chance Rescue Enterprises (LCR) as a covert operative. She has many secrets, including the fact that her real name is Devon. Seven years ago she was attacked, raped and left for dead in an alley. Now she has a new face (thanks to plastic surgeons) and a new identity. What she doesn't expect is a new partner. Jordan Montgomery, a new operative at LCR, has been looking for Devon for years. He approached LCR in hopes they would help find her. Instead, they give him a job helping Eden St. Claire search for an organized network of criminals that are stealing children.

I was totally engrossed in this book. The story has a lot of intrigue and undercover action. I felt bad for the heroine and could see why she wanted to stay hidden. But, I knew the hero felt terrible about what had happened in the past and I wanted to see him forgiven. I will hopefully start the next book in the series soon. My rating: 4.5 Stars.
