Last Saturday I received a book with a coffee or cola stain across the bottom of the book. I RWAPed it and requested a credit but I haven't received it as yet. She pmed me that she didn't have any credits to give me. Then I pmed her a couple of days ago and she still said that she didn't have any credits to give me. I told her that the week is almost up and I have to mark the transaction either unresolved or resolved. Should I pm her one more time or just mark it as unresolved or wait for her? She's not a new member as she joined in the fall of 2007.

I would mark it as unresolved and call it a day.  She should have the credit she received from you when you received the book unless she used DC or PBS postage and then she must have spent it quick.  Either way it might be time to just mark it and move on.

I would do the same.  If she ends up sending you the credit in the future (and to be honest I haven't encountered this yet) and you can't change the unresolved to resolved then I would just PBS know that it was finally resolved so they can make note of it (I would hope).  Sorry it worked out the way it did.

I'm of the opposite opinion here. I figure as long as she hasn't said she won't give you the credit, you've still got a chance. But, the minute you mark it unresolved, there's no incentive for her to return your credit as soon as she does get one. Tell her you will let it remain unresolved for a while longer until she does get a credit, which you hope will be soon, and leave it sit. May take her a few weeks to get her credit, but sounds like she intends to give you one. Maybe not, but I'd take the chance.

Sherry's right - you have nothing to lose by waiting.  Once you've marked it unresolved - it's over.  I've left the option open for weeks at a time.  No big deal.  Give her some time.

Thanks everyone for your advice. I'm going to give her more time. She has answered all my pm's saying she will send me one when she gets one. So, will wait and see for a little while. I will send reminder pms once in a while.

Yay! I have faith in PBS members! The sender just refunded my credit! She was true to her word.
