Does anyone know if there is any kind of gracer period fo membership renewal?  Mine expires on 11/1 and I am renewing.  The problem is that I don't get paid again until 11/3.  The reminder came too late for me pay for it with my last check. I  REALLY don't want to lose my WL and I'm hoping there is a grace period of a few days before they drop your WL down to 100 since my payment would only be two days later than the expiration date.  Anyone know?

EDIT:  A PBS Angel has helped me out so I am no longer hyperventilating about losing my WL.  But I am still wondering if there is a grace period for future reference so I will leave my question up for now.  I have contacted PBS about it (duh!) and will post the answer for everyone once they get back to me.  Thank you everyone for looking and/or responding.  I do appreciate everyone who tries to help out on these forums.

EDIT:  Just got a reply from PBS, "Yes, there's a 2-week grace period. "  So there is a grace period!

I am certainly not an expert but i think you should be fine. My understanding is if your membership expires your existing wish list is unaffected. You can not add new books until you renew but the existing list stays intact.

Thank you for your reply, Mary K.  Unfortunately, if membership is not renewed PBS does drop your wishlist down to only 100 books, it keeps the first 100 books posted to your WL only.  That's what I'm hyperventilating about. My WL is currently 500 books and I really don't want to lose my place on them. So I'm really hoping they have a grace period of a few days since I get paid 2 days after the expiration date and can renew then.

But thank you for your imput regardless.  -Tory

Contact TPTB and ask them and then let us know what they say.

Tory, Other than contacting PBS, there is no way of knowing whether there is a grace period or not. I did notice that you are a PBS postage user...is it possible that you have enough PBS cash in your account, or a big enough balance that you would be able to add enough to it to cover the fee? Or do you have enough credits to sell some to raise the funds in time? Just a thought that doesn't require a response. I too shudder at the thought of having 400 books randomly dropped from my WL. Good luck.

can't you pay with a credit card and then the timing is immaterial.

Fantastic, both that another member helped you and that there is a grace period!
