I have a book that doesn't seem to be going anywhere.  I just got my second e-mail from the PBS Librarian asking if I have received the book.  I assume that we are not being asked to respond to the e-mail, and that it is just a prompt to get us to mark books received if we forgot.  Is that the case?  Or should we respond to the e-mails?

Just delete it. If you're very conscientious about marking books received, and are sure you'd never forget, I think you can turn off those emails somewhere.

There's no way to turn off those emails - those safeguard against members forgetting to mark books received. And you shouldn't respond to them...I doubt the PBS Team would like to be innundated with replies about individual transactions (I don't even know if the 'Librarian' account is able to get replies) and if you contacted any TGs, we would just tell you that's an email reminder JIC you forgot and if you haven't received the book, to mark it mailed when you get it (if you do.)

Just do what the email tells you to do. The last one I received included the following instructions:


If you have received this book already then please log into your account and mark it received.  ...

If you have NOT RECEIVED this book yet, then please ignore this email  ...

THIS IS AN AUTOMATED EMAIL. REPLIES TO THIS EMAIL ARE NOT READ.

I have one like that, too, right now.  Only a week until it goes lost.  It doesn't have DC on it so no one knows where it is.  I'm expecting it to go lost.

Ignore it.  Clicking the buttons to say you haven't received it yet doesn't really do anything at all other than give you something to do :-b
