I'm trying to use up my credits and a few books I've ordered have gotten no response.  There are multiple copies of these books so I'd like to order them from somebody else.  But the system won't let me order the same book. I think if I cancel the request and then order it again I might end up requesting the book from the same person who did not respond.  Is there any way to order the books from different people who might respond?

Its best to leave the requests out there and after 5 days the system will cancel it and request it from the next member. You still have quite a while for it to roll a couple more times and the request filled before the changes take place.

Thanks for the quick response.  Two weeks doesn't feel like quite a while to use up all my credits.  I like your cat pictures.

I ordered several paperback books on Monday and Tuesday with no response as of today.  So... I checked the sender's bookshelves.  Many of them had not posted books since 2010 or 2011.  I cancelled the requests and ordered the same title, but hardcovers the second time, so the request would go to a new member.  Or I ordered another book entirely.  I know that's not really how the club wants it handled, but I've got credits to burn up before the 15th, and I don't want to risk having my request roll thru 3 or 4 inactive accounts!

Now, it's only a week til the 'new' format takes effect, so only time for one rollover if a request isn't accepted.

Requests made before February 15th will not incur costs - even if the request has rolled over.

Do we have an answer yet about whether a roll-over (request begun before 15th) that takes place after the 15th will have a fee attached?  It doesn't seem like it would as the request is already in the system.... But, I wish we knew.

Yes Anna, as Sarah above said, requests made before the 15th will not incur costs because they roll over. If something happens with the request and someone does get a fee on a rolled over request, they just need to send in Feedback. As long as it is just an existing request rolling over, no fees will be owed.

"...you just can't post more than one of the same book to your shelf."

Well, sort of...  What you can't do, is post more than one of the same ISBN to your shelf.  If you have copies of the same book issued with different ISBNs, then they are ok to post.
