The savagely funny story of one man's private war with tyranny--a German G.I. who taught the Nazis a lesson they never forgot. A tale in which the elements of drama and suspense are stillfully fused with high comedy--a tale which the author brings to a startling and altogether delightful conclusion. Kirst has succeeded in distilling robust fun out of brutal realities, without ever suggesting that the realities were other than brutal.
