Humphreys is an excellent writer and I found this book to be delightful. Absorbing, funny and full of cutting observations..
Sat unread here for years, just breezed through it, and I loved it. Only complaint was that it wasn't long enough. I fell into the language of it and kept interest in all of the charcters throughout. Passing it on to my sister and friends. Read it!
Slow start but stick with it - it is well worth the wait.
