It's winter and three tortoises are bedding down until spring. Mr. and Mrs. Tortoise go to sleep, but Shelley decided to stay up and see what winter was. She goes outside and is promptly told by a duck, dog, cat, and a bird that it's ridiculous for a tortoise to be outside in winter. Shelley decides she doesn't like the cold and goes back to the shed to sleep.
Why I recommend it: Sometimes you need to be curious to figure out that something isn't right for you. Shelley is told over and over that she shouldn't be out, but she needs to know that for herself.
