I haven't received a book since June.  I mailed out 19 books after i received that one.

My membership stats show that I mail out about twice as many books as I receive.

For 2015, I have only received 11 books, (1 request was cancelled by the sender).

Should I be keeping a Standard Membership for next year?  Is it a wash, or am I losing or winning with this PLAN?

Also, WHERE is the information on what a standard membership gives you?  I seem to have lost that link and can't find it now

How do I see if I have any free postage coming?  I could mail out a book if I do.  :)

When you go to the Kiosk to purchase a membership, it details Standard and Limited and what you get.

I just renewed my membership.  I considered going down a level to Limited but I decided I like the larger WL and I love the ability to see how many copies of a book are posted.  I decided it was worth the extra money even though I hadn't had that many transactions this year.

As soon as I renewed, I started having a WL flood.  I think I've gotten more WL books in the last month than I have all year.

Go to your My Account main page. On the top is a link to the Free Swap Registry. You do not lose recorded swap credits when you shift levels. For every swap you now need a book credit and a "Free Swap Credit" (or a Standard Membership).

There isn't free postage. The extra fee is waived for the first postage label you print every month. This does not roll over. If you do not use it, it goes away. You still have to pay the postage and the PayPal fee.

Which membership plan you have depends on many things as there is no right plan for each member.

Do you use printable postage and want one fee waived a month or one a quarter?

Do you want a 500 wishlist or 200 wishlist?

My books going out and coming in have stayed steady since the change in FEB.  The extra WL slots are helpful as I usually WL lots of versions when I find a new book I want since I'm not picky about HC vs PB.

Having the PayPal fee waived? That is a perk I would like.

Well, for me limited seems to work. Limited includes 30 free swaps, so the per swap cost is $0.40 cents additional per swap. To have standard be more desirable you need to have confidence you will receive more than 50 books. I am historically somewhere between the two, so I went with limited. I do not care about the other features of standard ( increased w/l, friends search etc). It works for me for this year. Not sure about next year.

For the year ending 2/15/26, I have 3 free swaps left. Reviewing the options, I think I am better off buying PBS money for the book credits I have and just waiting until 2/15/16 to decide whether to renew or go ala carte.

To bad you can not renew early and access the 30 free swap credits associated with renewal until 2/15. But so it goes!

If you're not receiving books, it doesn't sound as if Standard membership is worth it. You can view all the benefits of the various subscription levels by clicking on the little clock icon on the top right of every page.

I don't get too many WL offers..I did right after the memberships but I didn't get too many before th epaid plans soI 'm even. I like the free swaps and the 500 WL....

I guess you just read them all, decide which is best and go from there.

I received WL books every week before the change to paid membership. Then after Feb 15 I didn't get any books for more 2 months, but now it's evened out again and I'm receiving WL books nearly ever week.

Still during my 5+yrs here I've sent more books than I've received and yet the postage come nowhere near the price of buying the 600+ books I have received, even if I bought them used. Of course the fact my town has a poor library and there are no booksellers here keeps me on std membership at PBS.

Perhaps having more PBS friends would help you get more WL offers? I receive as many if not more books posted to my WL by friends as I do via FIFO.

I get more books from the swap games than I do from FIFO.
