This is not a biography of Tamerlane. It is an academic study of the process by which Tamerlane rose to control the nomadic tribes which made up his army of conquest, how held his power and exercised it. If you are fascinated by the subject of tribal power and political structure, then you may find it interesting. If you want to know who Tamerlane is, what he did, and why he's worth learning about, you won't find it here.
